All claims are overseen by senior personnel to ensure uniformity
of approach, and where appropriate specialists independent consultants and laboratories
may be instructed to investigate specific aspects of individual losses. In particular,
our nucleus of specialists based in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda can be rapidly
allocated to assignments due to their close vicinity. All of our personnel are
fluent in English, most also speak Kiswahili whereas French and other European
languages are spoken together with various Indian tongues.

the Bank of Tanzania (BOT), Capital Markets Authority and many other government

Dawson has worked on a wide variety of major material damage and liability claims
for over 35 years previously in the United Kingdom and offshore as a main board
Director of Cunninghams (Now Cunningham Lindsey). Hitherto
an examiner of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, a council member of
that body and also a council member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. An expert
in corporate fire claims, banking and other financial risks, business interruption,
legal liability and policy interpretation. He has sat on many arbitration panels
and has significant court experience as an expert witness. |

Mr.
Russell has over 30 years experience in the profession and has undoubtedly more
experience of Africa than any chartered loss adjuster currently practising on
the continent. In 1981 he became resident in Nairobi and rose to become Managing
Director of Robins Kenya. He has dealt with major losses in many African countries
as well as Kenya including Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Malawi and Zimbabwe
to mention but a few. He is now in management control of Toplis and Harding operations
in Kenya being based at Nairobi office and also in charge of Mombasa Branch. By
coincidence he started off his adjusting career in the same UK firm as Colin Dawson
so they are old friends and colleagues. | |

Educated and trained in the United Kingdom Mr. Kapalata is a vastly experienced
accountant and is currently Group Claims Auditor for Toplis and Harding. He specialises
in corporate financial risks, business interruption, evaluation of contract works
and forensic accountancy where his financial skills prove invaluable back up to
our team of loss adjusters. His insurance background was gained over many years
with National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited where he rose to become
Director of Internal Control responsible for internal audit, inspection and investigation. |
